K'un Lun - Comic Version - 2016

I never really liked the Posterize filter in Photoshop, but I liked some of Christian Alzmann BB-8 designs where I looked like he used the filter to sharpen and clarify some of his edges. I had to do this piece fairly fast and I wanted to try out the technique. I used it to blend between source photos and the hand painted designed areas. The rope bridge is hand painted and you can see how seamlessly it integrates with the rock texture behind it. ... I haven't used the technique since this image, but it was fun to try and I think it inform my eye a bit.
